H&R Block Tip: If you are filing your income tax return electronically with one or more tax programs, it must be submitted (filed) no later than midnight your local time. Be sure to obtain a dated confirmation receipt showing its submission to the IRS. You will receive this confirmation upon completing your filing process and upon submission to the IRS. If you have someone else submit your 2006 income tax return via electronic tax filing, be certain they obtain this dated confirmation receipt. Be certain they submit your income tax return by April 16, 2007.
